Kona's Contribution to the Herd:

Kona brings together exceptional milk production on both sides of her pedigree, making her an exciting young doe for the future. She had an impressive Linear Appraisal Score at just two years old, scoring a 37 on Fore Udder Attachment, and a 35 on Udder Depth.  She made the Elite Doe List as a yearling milker in 2024, an early achievement that speaks to both her genetic potential and her own productivity. Her dam, Cleo, is a capacious, productive doe with a functional, long-lasting mammary system, and Kona reflects those same strengths in both structure and dairy ability.

On her sire’s side, Kona’s depth of production genetics is equally impressive.  His dam, Noall’s Ark G Gourmandise, has earned a place on the Elite Doe List since she was a yearling milker in 2021.  His littermate sister, Noall's Ark J. Goutu, has followed her dam as well, consistently earning a place on the Elite Doe List since she was a yearling milker. This maternal line is stacked with consistent, high-producing does, including granddam Noall’s Ark D’A Gruyere (6*M VEEE90), and great-granddam Redstone C Mimolette (5*M VVEE90)—all Elite Doe List honorees.

With this level of production behind her and an early Elite Doe List placement of her own, Kona represents the kind of generation-to-generation consistency and proven milk strength we strive to maintain in our breeding program. Unfortunately in 2025, Kona had a single doe kid, and her production was less than the previous year. Hopefully she has more than a single kid in 2026.
