Churro caught our eye when he was born but we had no plans to keep a baby buck this year. Then Jennifer Davis of Hidden Hills Nigerians saw him and he caught her eye too. We started talking about it and realized that both his dam and his sire's dam have an E in rump, which is pretty impressive for Nigerians. And then  on his dam's side, there are some very nice Woodbridge Farm genetics, which we already have in quite a few of our does, so it was a nice way to fold those back in.

Remington, Churro's sire, has an all-star pedigree with his dam, his litter-mate sister, and his daughter to back it up. At the 2023 National Show, Mystic placed 2nd in a very competitive class of 52. Remington’s littermate sister (Wolfivan One Love) placed 1st in her class of 69. Mystic was also named the 2023 ADGA National Total Performer for the Nigerian Dwarf breed, and both Mystic and One Love placed 2nd in the Dam and Daughter class. But for me, the icing on the cake was my intermediate doe and Remington’s 2023 daughter Slidewater Abilene placed 10th out of 72 in her class. This year, one of his 2024 daughters, Slidewater Delaney, earned her dry leg as an intermediate kid.  Both of these young does are nice and wide and very level in the rump.
